James Clay Gerrell
(May 14th, 1961- May 13th, 2025)

On the evening of May 13th, 2025 James "Clay" Gerrell passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville, Ga. Clay was 63 years old.

Clay was born in Atlanta Ga at Crawford Long hospital to Billy and Wanda Gerrell on May 14th, 1961.

He spent majority of his life living in Cumming, Ga where he was owner and and heavy equipment operator of Billy Gerrell Grading before retiring. He was a pillar in the community known for his humor and generosity. He is preceded in death by his father Billy Eugene Gerrell and Wanda Larue Gerrell(Lee) as well as his sister Holly R Cordero. He is survived by his former spouse Tammy Denise Gerrell along with their five children William Dustin Gerrell, James Tyler Gerrell, Joshua Cole Gerrell, Billy Austin Gerrell, and Callie Denise Gerrell. As well as his four grandchildren Brianna Nicole Martin, William Wade Gerrell, Shelby Lynn Gerrell, and McCoy Scott Daniel.

A viewing service will be held from 5pm-8pm on Monday May 19th, 2025 at McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held on Tuesday May 20th, 2025 at 11am i
Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs.
