Richard Whitmire Obituary
He was a member of Cumming Second Baptist Church.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Bessie Whitmire; brother, Glenn Whitmire.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Whitmire of Cumming; children, Tammy Rickles of Norcross, Timmy Whitmire of Augusta, Angela Barnes of Cumming, Albert and Debbie Gravitt of Cumming; 12 grandsons; one great-grandson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Denise and Morris Sweatman of Dawsonville, Diane Whitmire of Dawsonville, Jeannie Whitmire of Cumming, Myra and Jeff Strickland of Cumming; brother, Buddy Whitmire of Cumming; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 29, at 2 p.m., in Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Bo Thompson and Beaver Dean officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home Saturday, from 2-9 p.m., and Sunday, from 9 a.m. until hour of service.
Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
