Robert Wagner Obituary
Bob leaves behind his heartbroken family: mother, Susan Fahey Wagner of Cumming, GA, formerly of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; father, Alvin L. Wagner, Jr. of Flossmoor, IL and Ft. Myers, FL; brother, Alvin L. "Chip" Wagner, III (Debbie) of Naperville, IL; beloved niece, Brooke, and nephew, Christopher; Aunt Margaret F. Hult of Largo, FL and uncle Robert F. Fahey (Anne) of Peoria, IL; and many cherished cousins. He is preceded in death by his uncle, Edward J. Fahey, Jr.
Bob graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and loved to travel abroad and in the United States. He enjoyed golf for years until he found his love for boating, which became his passion. He was a photography enthusiast especially taking gorgeous sunset photos of Lake Lanier and was a member of Lake Lanier Boaters Group. Bob was a webmaster for his mother's golf association, the Women's Western Golf Association and boating websites. He was a Jeep aficionado, loved his Wrangler and was a member of the FOCO Jeepers. He was Senior Director of Sales at MTD Products based in Cleveland, OH for 18 years, most recently developing his own consulting firm.
The family will receive friends at McDonald and Son from 3 – 8 p.m. on Friday, November 16, with a prayer service at 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society in Bob's honor: https://donate.lls.org/lls/donate.

Thoughts and prayers to Bobs family and friends. Bob moved into the Mill Grove neighborhood and quickly became a favorite neighbor and friend. He was a great voice for our community and made such a difference being on the Board supporting our community needs. I recall him having such a even keeled personality which I always admired. A genuine good guy.

Dear Susie, Al and Chip, Losing a child (and brother to Chip) is heartbreaking. After Cathy died (2010), I could not imagine life without her, and then I realized what was hard for me was worse for her 16 year old daughter who found her lifeless body.
There are no words that will help any of you feel better at this time. I only remember how fondly you both spoke about your sons. He was such a handsome young man, who apparently had many friends, as evidenced by the wonderful, caring comments on Facebook.

Susie, Al, Chip and family,
My prayers and thoughts are with you in this sad time. I remember when we moved to Homewood and Scott met Bob in 7th grade . They become instant friends and he enjoyed being student manager for basketball team. He was best man at his wedding and their friendship endured. I was so glad Scott was able to see Bob In Atlanta and watch a Cubs game with him in 2016. Bob wanted Scott to come back so he could go boating with him. May your memories of good times with each other help you get through these rough times. So hard to believe he is gone. Todd also sends his sympathy to you all.

My condolences to all of Bob's family. Such a sudden and sad loss. I knew and worked with Bob nearly 20 years at MTD and he always brought his own special flair and ideas to many of our meetings and events. I will miss reminiscing with him.

When I first met Bob he knew very little about boating. Bob always wanted to learn more. It was one happy day when Bobs dream finally turned into reality.Bob purchased a so so boat and turned it into a true gem on the lake. He was so proud.
