I met Bill through mutual friends about 30 years ago and was instantly drawn to his bigger than life personality. The long discussions we had about life, family, friends and food highlighted his amazingly fun personality, genuine insight and true kindness as a man. Bill had so many deep values that impressed all who knew him. When Bill said he was ready to share the full and blessed life he had created, I instantly thought of my beautiful, inside and out friend, Candy. After a short time, they were inseparable and truly completed each other. I have never seen two people more meant for each other and able to enjoy each and every day.
Bill touched so many lives through friendships and mentoring. I am lucky to be in that group - he impacted my life in such a BIG way and will be remembered fondly.

The greatest dad I could have ever asked for. He was an inspiration and my hero. Always the life of the party. Forever missed but never forgotten. I will do my best to make you proud and raise Henry to the best of my ability. We lost a legend. I see you all around me, but can’t wait to see you in heaven. Raise a glass for my hero, Bill Palmer, aka Poppy. “Live your life and stop worrying”-Bill

Bill was like a second father to me. I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time with him as I grew up with his son. I often idolized him, and ended up becoming a chef as an adult in large part of my admiration for what he achieved.
Love and miss you Bill.

Billy was a great friend when I lived in Sandy Springs across the street. We enjoyed high school and playing all sports on the street! He was always a hard worker, mowing lawns for spending money. I moved and we both moved on to college and life. He achieved so much in his life. I’m so sorry for his family and this loss.

Very simply, a class act! Bill was a selfless leader and a remarkable partner within the Applebee’s system.
Having the opportunity to spend time with Bill was a blessing I will always treasure.

Bill you were my employer for over 25 years! Much more than that you were an inspiration and a mentor in leadership. We shared great times and difficult times. I am grateful for every memory, but especially the one on ones and the times you would pick my brain and ask my opinion. I cannot overstate how much I enjoyed being part of your team.
