Kenneth Gettman

1936 - 2023

Kenneth W. Gettman, 86, of Greeley, formerly of Fort Morgan, passed away on February 8, 2023. He was born May 23, 1936 in Snyder, CO to Walter and Katherine Elizabeth (Kress) Gettman. Kenneth entered the U.S. Navy on May 27, 1958, serving on the USS Yorktown, re-enlisting on March 29, 1962 and again on November 18, 1965 aboard the USS Midway, serving another six years before an honorable dischange on September 15, 1971. He returned from the service and worked for American Fertilizer in Fort Morgan for many years before retiring. He enjoyed bowling and moved to Greeley for the past four years. Survivors include his sisters; Kathy (John) Northrop and Deanna (Keith) Weber, his brother-in-law, Deryl Dunham as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Patty Lipe and Donna Dunham, his niece, Sally Weber and brother-in-law, Ron Schmidt. Kenneth's private graveside service was held Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at the Riverside Cemetery in Fort Morgan. Condolences may be shared at AdamsonCares.com.
