Marilee Craig III Obituary

March 24, 1944 - February 15, 2014, April 6, 1942 - February 20, 2014
Marilee Virginia Craig, 69, longtime resident of Fort Morgan, died February 15, 2014 at Valley View Villa in Fort Morgan following a lengthy illness. Her husband, James Henry Craig III, 71, followed her in death on February 20, 2014, as a result of complications from pneumonia and a broken heart.
Marilee was born March 24, 1944 in Otis, CO, to John and Ruby Becker. Jim was born April 6, 1942 in Arlington, VA, to James and Laura Craig. Jim and Marilee were married on September 1, 1963.
A 29 year employee of Morgan County School District RE-3, Marilee worked in several clerical positions at Head Start, Fort Morgan High School, and the District Support Center. Jim also worked for the school district for 20 years as the Head Custodian, both for the high school and Columbine Elementary School, after having a successful carpet installation business.
The couple is survived by their two daughters, Pennie Bohm and Debbie Worthley, six grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
Marilee was preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Hubbard, and her parents. Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Craig, and his parents.
A memorial service will be Thursday, February 27th, at 1:00 p.m. at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Inurnment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
