Still have such fond memories of Alice and her giving heart always volunteering for services for anyone in need. She always had a warm smile and infectious laugh and shared her knitting and crocheting skills with her children. They treasured her gifts. Hope she´s watching over us Carol and Rich.

Alice, we remember you used to always stop and sit a while in the VFW/AMVETS/American Legion Office at the end of the day before you left out the back door. One day we didn't see you. Apparently you slipped coming into the VA and had to go get your arm set. But you were back at the VA the day after you broke your arm, smiling like it was nothing more than a little inconvenience. Now Alice, I broke my arm the next year, it took me a week to get it set, and it hurt like heck ... so how'd you do that? You've made so many friends. All us volunteers knew you and looked up to you as a mentor. It has been an honor knowing you, Alice. We can only hope that we'll meet with you again on the other side. We know you earned your wings long ago. We still have a lot yet to do down here, though, but we're working on it ... honest.

Alice helped so many and asked for nothing in return. She made me a towel that still hangs on my fridge I think of her everytime I dry my hands. My dogs tried to chew on it and id say leave it be thats Alices (only thing they havnt chewed in whole house). Walking the halls at VA Id see Alice ask her how she was, shed always say better than nothing. I always said she was better than everything. "O come on now" shed say. lol She was a dear friend. Im glad I had the chance to know her. RIP Alice We love you and will miss seeing you around the VA
