Allan Anglin Obituary

ALLAN E. ANGLIN, 80, of Warsaw, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, 5:30 p.m., at Mason Health Care Facility, Warsaw. Born April 20, 1923, in Etna Green, he was the son of Victor V. and Thelma D. (Scott) Anglin. He was a 1941 graduate of Etna Green High School. He married Rosalie Armstrong, July 7, 1946, in Bourbon, and she preceded him in death, Aug. 5, 1986. A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, he retired, in 1985, from Fidler Construction, Warsaw. He also worked at Stran Steel Buildings, Warsaw, and Etna Lumber Co., Etna Green. He was a U.S. Marine Corps World War II veteran, serving from 1942 to 1945, in the South Pacific Theatre and into China. He was a former member of Etna Green United Methodist Church, Etna Green, and Celebration Church, Warsaw; charter member and past commander of the American Legion Post 424, Bourbon; member of V.F.W. Post 1126, Warsaw; member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 248, Warsaw; member of AMVets Post 43; past member of Bourbon Masonic Lodge; and member of Etna Green Lions Club. Survivors include one son, Randy Anglin of Lockport, Ill.; three daughters, Claudia A. Davis of Lansing, Mich., Karen Manuel of Warsaw, Lou Ann Parker of Silver Lake; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Alice I. Anglin of Warsaw. Service is 10 a.m. Wednesday at Etna Green United Methodist Church, 131 W. Broadway St., Etna Green, with Pastor Joe Lampton officiating. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Burial is 10 a.m. Saturday, at Etna Green Cemetery, with military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post 424 of Bourbon. Memorials to Etna Green United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 161, Etna Green, IN 46524, or Kosciusko Home Care & Hospice, P.O. Box 1196, Warsaw, IN 46581-1196.
