My sincere condolences to Norma and family. Allan and I were classmates at South Side HS. He enjoyed an exemplary professional, political and miltary career, yet he was one of the most humble, unassuming persons I have ever known.

Few men have ever walked this Earth that had the same fine character that Allan possessed.

Those of us who knew him were surely blessed.

Through more than 25 years of friendship with their daughter Linda, I came to know and love Allan and Norma Bloom, and always enjoyed their company. Through episodes of prolonged and difficult illness, Mr. Bloom always maintained the dignity, wit, strength and quiet compassion that were hallmarks of his character. I cherished his wisdom and his counsel and will miss both dearly.
My love and sympathy to Norma, Linda, and Laura

Dear Norma and family: An Officer and a Gentleman - a true picture of Allan. He treated everyone with great respect and in return was given great respect. It was an honor and great pleasure to work for and with him for 16 years at Bloom, Bloom, More and Miller.

I never heard him complain of his circumstances, always had a smile, always patient and kind, although you knew when he put "Stat" on something, he meant he wanted it now, but never raised his voice or spoke in a demanding way.

He will be deeply missed. Our prayers are with you and your family and pray the Good Lord will give you Peace and Strength in the days ahead.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Mrs. Bloom and the family.
Allan was a wonderful man. He was always so cheerful and up-beat. He never lost his good natured way or his sense of humor, even through his earlier health issues. He was a man of honor and he was obviously loved by many.
With deepest sympathy and prayers for God's Strength,

To the Bloom Family;

My name is Dick Devine and I moved to Indianapolis in 1972 and a life long Democrate.

Allan was my very favorite Republican and legislator.He carried a bill(1962)I was working on and got it thru the legislature even tho the Republican Leadership was against it.Even more important (to this day) was the way he got all of those old old laws off the books "BEFORE" we added new laws.What a super job he did for all people of Indiana.I wish I could say good-bye to my friend.
