Jerry was a friend to me. He always had a smile on his face and easy to talk to. He was never shy for words and always had a story to tell. RIP my dear friend. I will always remember you and Joe.

Jerry was my Uncle on my Mother's side (Leona Alexander Reckeweg). I grew up in Atlanta and as travel was different in the '60s we only saw each other once every 1-2 years. But I have fond memories of those visits, especially my first "solo" visit the summer I turned 12. I thought his grocery store was the coolest place! I know he will be missed by his loving family and friends.

After we moved from Fort Wayne to Maryland, we would come back to Fort Wayne to visit, and Uncle Jerry and Uncle Ernie would come and pick up Pat and Gregg and take them out to play golf. Ben was too young to go along. Uncle Jerry would always come over to Mom and Dad's the next morning, pick up Ben and take him out for breakfast at McDonald's so that he wouldn't be left out. I will never forget that, and neither will Ben. I miss you, Uncle Jerry.
