Barbara L. Werling

Barbara L. Werling, 90, of Fort Wayne, went to her Heavenly home July 18, 2025, born to the late Edwin D. and Evelyn K. (Juergens) Hipkins on July 20, 1934 in Holland, MI. She graduated from Concordia High School. Barbara was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church. She taught in Peru, IN and later St. Paul's Lutheran School. Barbara enjoyed doing craft shows and decorating cakes for special occasions. She was a member of the Fort Wayne Festival Choir, Celebration Singers, and church choirs. Barbara is survived by children, Dorothea (Mark) Herb of Fort Wayne, Steve (Julie) Werling of Turkey Lake and EveLynn (Paul) Goodhind of Shutesbury, MA; grandchildren, Kathryn (Andrew) Lehman, Nathan (Aleesha) Herb, Christina (James) Alliger, Erica (Joe) Turner, and Joshua & Jordyn Goodhind; 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Claudia Hipkins. Preceded in death by her husband, Victor Werling and brother, David Hipkins. Memorial service: Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Epiphany Lutheran Church (6606 Maplecrest Rd, Fort Wayne) at 3:00 pm with visitation two hours prior. Burial following at St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials made to Epiphany.
