BRADLEY CONWAY Obituary

BRADLEY CONWAY, 61, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at his home, after a two year battle with lung cancer. Born and raised in Green town, Ind., he was the son of the late Frank and Madona Conway. He graduated from Eastern High School in Greentown in 1968. He then went on to graduate with an associate's degree in Architectural Drafting and studied Interior Design and Commercial Art at the Indiana University division, in Fort Wayne and Fort Wayne Arts School, before landing his first job at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum as a resident artist for two years. Later taking on a position with Adams & Walda Furniture for nearly 15 years as an Architectural and Interior Designer, before starting his own business in 1988, Brad Conway Designs, Fort Wayne. surviving are his wife of 34 years, Debra Conway; son, Brandon (Stacy) Conway; two grandchildren, Bowen and Arden Conway, both of Fishers; son, Brett Conway (partner, Jesse Garcia) of Den Haag , Netherlands; sister, Brenda (Lee) Harwood of Norcross, Ga. "He was a great husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, and friend. He blessed this world with his talent and skill as an artist with hand drawings of portraits and old classic cars, in his many designed homes for which his architectural attention to detail brought him success, and in the love that he had for all his family and friends. It's good to know that he left the physical plane with knowing that his purpose in life was achieved!" Funeral service is 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at D.O. Deb-I saw Lori Black last night and she told me of your loss. I certainly enjoyed knowing both you and Brad for the short time we worked together at Design Guild. Brad was such a delight and so talented. Thinking of you. Sincerely,

Dear Deb,

Andi sent Brad's Obituary and I am so very sorry. Although we didn't work together very long, I enjoyed working with both of you. You were a wonderful team. Before I began covering Indiana, I had heard about Brad and his fine reputation as a designer and as a person. He was surely that--and he had you to manage all the details of the business side which was critical to his success.

Please know I am sending you my deepest sympathy---and healing thoughts as you begin your grief journey. MJ Fischer-Haas, Thayer Coggin Sales Consultant

Dear Deb - I was shocked and brokenhearted to hear of Brad's passing. It has been many years since we spent time together working behind the scenes at the ballet. Brad was a good man & I consider it an honor to have known him and his family. Please know that we will be keeping you in our prayers. So sad. Such a loss.

Dear Deb & Family: I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of Brad. He was a great artist (we've got some drawings) and very talented as a designer. I enjoyed working with him at Adams & Walda, and was pleased to get to know you during that time. I could see the kind of marriage and family that you had and know you must feel the great void. It's been some time since we ran into Brad or you to get caught up so I was not aware he was ill. You have our sympathy and prayers. May our Lord be with you during this time of loss and sorrow. Dear Deb: I feel so sorry for your loss. In school Brad had a lot of natural talent. When we would draw designs in shop class everything came so natural for him and he was so kind to help me. Playing baseball, basketball and football he had natural talent and was very good. Brad was liked by everyone is school because of his great personality. Susan and I wish you the very best.
May God Bless Bless You and Your Familly in your loss.

Dear Deb,
We join with you in your sadness, and we pray for your comfort and peace. We, along with many others, had the privilege to witness Brad and you as a married couple and as a working professional team. All will be an expression of artistry in our memory. Brad's warmth, kindess, and wonderful sense of humor will not be forgotten. Surely he was happy to see Tom Crean get the Hoosiers back on track!

Our prayers and sympathies are with you and your family. God bless. Sincerely,

Scott Rigdon
