CALVIN WADE Obituary

CALVIN LEE "DEACON" WADE JR., 67, of Fort Wayne, departed this life on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010. He was born on Oct. 11, 1943, in Trenton, Tenn. Surviving are his wife, Amelda Wade; sons, Calvin Wade III and Jimmie Gentry, both of Fort Wayne; daughters, Yvette Williams, Ganaye Wade, Freida Gentry, Dawn Gentry, and Nona (Eric) Brown, all of Fort Wayne, and Andrea (Lonnie) Dickens of Gary; brothers, Joseph Wade and Gerre Wade, both of Fort Wayne, and Andre Wade of Atlanta, Ga.; sisters, Malinda Wade of Memphis, Tenn., Vicki R. Wade and Marsha K. Wade, both of Fort Wayne; 35 granchildren; 101 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Irene Cheely of Los Angeles, Calif. He was preceded in death by his sons, Brandon Wade and Jason Gentry; daughter, Nicole Wade; and parents, Calvin and Lena Wade Sr. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday at East Chestnut Church of Christ with visitation one hour prior to service. Visitation also from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Carmichael Funeral Service.

Skip,Vickie & the family of Calvin;

Cecelia & I would like to express our heartfelt sympathy to all od calvins family. i still have fond memories of our times in the Lafayette Street / Barr street neighborhood. Chester Littlejohn,Eugene Mable,et all developed friendships that still remain,even though we have not seen much of each other,we are still connected.
