Catherine Cummings Obituary

Catherine (Gustafson) Cummings, 84, of Fort Wayne, passed away February 8, 2026, Cathy was born in Chicago on June 11,1941. She had an older sister (Shirl) and twin brother (Clifford). She was married at the age of 20 to Tom, and they were married for 64 years. Throughout her life she and Tom lived in Redwood Falls MN, Milwaukee WI, Green Bay WI, Ft Wayne IN, Dayton OH, and Venice FL. Cathy enjoyed volunteering, starting in the 1970s as a girl scout leader. She continued with many more activities, including the pregnancy care center in Venice. She was an active member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha sorority, making lifelong friends and memories. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Eleanore Gustafson, brother, Clifford, brother-in-law, Bob Woelfle, and her beloved husband, Tom. She is survived by her sister (Shirl Woelfle), daughters Patty (Dan) Kammeyer, Cindy (Greg) Davis, son Tim (Caryn) Cummings, five grandchildren: Tony Rossi, Andre Rossi, Spencer Davis, Ellie Davis, Seth Cummings and great-grandson, Lukas Rossi. Cathy will be remembered as a kind, giving person, who touched the hearts of all those around her. Funeral will be Friday, April 10, 2026. There will be a one hour visitation starting at 10 AM. Funeral Mass at 11 AM and a luncheon to follow immediately after. All will take place at: St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 10700 Aboite Center Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46804 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stillwater Hospice (5910 Homestead Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46814) whose team walked alongside Cathy and her family with love and compassion, for over a year.
