Catherine Lothamer Obituary
She was born on May 28, 1934, in Payne, Ohio to the late Frederick Bellis and Margaret (Zirkelbach) Bellis. Catherine was united in marriage to Eugene L. Lothamer on July 25, 1953, at Saint Louis Besancon Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on September 13, 2009.
Catherine was a parishioner at Saint Louis Besancon Catholic Church. She was a member of the V. F. W. Post 12150 in New Haven, Indiana, and the American Legion Post 423 in Orland, Indiana.
She was a scheduler at General Electric for 35 years and retired in 1990.
Catherine enjoyed crocheting and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Valrae A. (Mark) Sadler of Fort Wayne, Indiana; son, Jeffrey R. (Terri) Lothamer of Monroeville, Indiana; daughter, Regina J. (Mike) Miller of Angola, Indiana; twin-brother, Ervin (Gail) Bellis of Woodburn, Indiana; sister, Doris Clevenger of Woodburn, Indiana; five grandchildren, Stacy Milanowski, Karl Sadler, Andrea Brooks, Dustin Miller, and Kristian Burkman; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Catherine was preceded in death by her son, Scott Lothamer; six brothers, Joseph, Robert B., Donald B., Paul B., Norbert, Frederic "Ted" Bellis; and three sisters, Theresa Arnett, Mary Ann Ternet, and Elizabeth Bellis in infancy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2024, at Saint Louis Besancon Catholic Church with Father Tyrell J. Alles officiating. Burial will follow at Saint Louis Besancon Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville, Indiana, and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Preferred memorials can be given to Masses or Riley Children's Hospital.
