CHARLES HAUFF Obituary

CHARLES E. HAUFF, 72, of Fort Wayne, died on Friday, July 15, 2011, at Parkview Hospital. Born May 15, 1939, in Bucyrus, Ohio, he was the son of the late Frank Charles Hauff and Florence Roth Hauff. He served in the Navy; worked in computer operations at I.H.C., retiring after 18 years of service in 2006; and was owner of Hauff Bolt & Supply for 10 years. He was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 82. "He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who will be missed by every one." Surviving are his son, Kevin (Orlanda) Hauff of Fort Wayne; daughters, Tina Smith and Alana Canfield, both of Fort Wayne; brother, George William Hauff of Ohio; and grandchildren, Aubree Cailynn Smith, Bailey Kiki Canfield and Katherine Marie Hillyer. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Vicki S. Fay Hauff. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Trinity English Lutheran Church, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. I met your dad at your wedding reception last year Kevin and I could tell he was a great guy! My heart goes out to you and the family for your loss. The funeral home was where my grandparents and uncle were at and is one of the finest around! God be be with you and the family.
