CLYDE JACK MOORE

CLYDE JACK MOORE, 81, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 3, 2021, surrounded by his family. Born in Fort Wayne on April 13, 1940, he was a son of the late Clyde P. Moore and the late Ilene C. (Goodman). He was preceded in death by his brother, Wallace Christ of Fort Wayne. Jack was a 1958 graduate of Central High School and attended IPFW. He served in the Indiana Air National Guard was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church. He retired from International Harvester after 36 years in the Design Engineering and Body Group. He also worked for Sprauge Devices, National Seating and Dana Corporation.After retirement, Jack and his wife Sharon moved to Fort Mill, S.C., where he was a devoted volunteer for the Humane Society of York County. Jack will be remembered as an avid Indiana basketball fan, a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. Jack is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sharon (Zelt): two sons, Daniel (Jennifer) of Charlotte, N.C.; three children, Charles, Mallory and Emerson and David (Brenda) of Shaker Heights, Ohio; two children, Carson and Evan; brother, Earl (Diane) Moore of Dolores, Colo.; sister, Julie (Ken) Fachini of Albuquerque, N.M.: and sister-in-law, Linda Christ of Fort Wayne. Service is 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, with a reception immediately following at Hall's Tavern at Coventry.
