Dale Stephens Obituary

Dale Stephens, 72, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on March 20, 2024, Bear, as he was affectionately known, was a man who brought laughter and joy to those around him. His funny and goofy personality, coupled with his extreme caring nature, endeared him to all who knew him. Bear loved watching TV, often bursting out in song and a little jig. He cherished his family deeply, especially his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and beloved dogs.

Bear is survived by his loving wife, Penny Stephens, children Amy Jones and Stephen Behm, brother Gary Stephens, a nephew, a niece, 10 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Bear's life will be held at a future date.

Something I will always remember is when Dale walked down to my house with the snake around his neck and tried to get me to pet it. I did not pet the snake he kept telling me it would not hurt me! So very sorry for your loss we will miss him!

I will always remember my cousin Dale`s smile his positive attitude always in a good mood ready to go and of course, singing whenever I was with my mom visiting we always all got together, and even when I was older, he´s always there Back in the day. We were a close knit family couldn´t go too far without one or the other rest in peace, cousin Dale, and go be with the gang.
