DANIEL THURBER Obituary

DANIEL RUSSELL THURBER, 75, of Fort Wayne, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. He graduated from Central Catholic High School and retired from General Electric. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church and was the Scoutmaster of Troop 2 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Daniel is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol; sons, Doug (Dawn), Mark (Mandy), Matt, Todd (Charlene); and 12 grandkids. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Gertrude Thurber; and brother, John and sister Patricia. Mass of the Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday, March 22, 2021, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, with calling from 9 to 11 a.m. Visitation also from 11 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. Facemask/cover required. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Camp Chief Little Turtle in memory of Dan Thurber.
