David Mott Obituary

DAVID M. MOTT, 61, of Monroeville, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at home. He retired from Navistar in 2000 after 33 years of service as an engineer. The avid pilot was a member of the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association), AOPA (Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association), SAL (Sons of the American Legion) Post 420, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3164. He is survived by his wife, Betsy of Monroeville; daughter, Dana (Dennis) Cretsinger of Angola; sons, Larry (Gina) Mott of Leo and Gary Mott of West Palm Beach, Fla.; stepson, Abe (Kari) Wallis of Fort Wayne; brother, Ned Mott of Tarpon Springs, Fla. and Keith (Becky) Mott of Monroeville; stepmother, Esther Mott of Conyers, Ga.; stepsister, Ruth (Wayne) Sams of Conyers, Ga.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Nick Mott; father, Maynard Mott; and mother, Delma Cooper-Mott. Memorial service is 6 p.m. Monday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 Indiana Hwy 930 E, New Haven, with calling two hours prior to service. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home and International Whooping Crane Foundation.
