David Rowan Obituary
In 1949 he graduated from North Side High School. Following high school, he joined the military and became a Korean War Veteran serving from 1951- 1955.
He attended Indiana University, Fort Wayne and began his career at Tokheim Corporation. From 1961 - 1971 he worked in Chicago, Illinois and Baltimore, Maryland before he returned to Fort Wayne to become Tokheim's General Sales Manager.
David served as Vice President for the Petroleum Marketing Division and then in 1992, after over 40 years, he retired. Aside from David's many accomplishments, he was a lifelong Chicago White Sox and IU fan, but what he loved most was spending time with this family and friends. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Margaret, of 61 years; a sister, Margie Hake; a brother-in-law, Bob; his grandmother, Elizabeth Rowan.
Surviving are his three sons, Mark (Cindy), Tracey (Cathy) and Kevin (Kelly); grandchildren, Carrie (Zach) Showalter, Andrew (Kellie), Adeline, Marykate (David) Baker, Skylar, Samuel and Joseph; five great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Nancy Koller; nephews, Bobby and Dave Hake; a niece, Sue Bitterer.
A memorial gathering will be on December 11th, 2023, from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM, at Faith Baptist Church, 6600 Trier Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46815. A memorial service will begin at 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Faith Baptist Church.

Consummate Professional! He set standards, and was respected well by customers, distributors, competitors, and fellow employees! His hard work and dedication attributed to the success and well-being of many. And nothing meant more to him than his family. His love for his wife and his boys topped everything! RIP Dave Rowan!
