Dean Wildeson Obituary
He was born July 28, 1946, in Garrett, Indiana to Robert D. and Evelyn G. (Baysinger) Wildeson. Dean was a 1965 graduate of Auburn High School. While in high school, Dean worked for a gas station on South Wayne Street in Auburn. After high school, he worked several years for Sears in Fort Wayne where he sold truck tires and motorcycles. Dean then went to work for GE in Fort Wayne for 30 years, retiring in 1997.
Dean married Marilyn K. Casselman on August 15, 1965, in Auburn.
He enjoyed fishing, old cars including a 1967 Dodge Dart GT that he completely restored and fixing things that were broken and then turning around and breaking things so they could be fixed. He also enjoyed collecting Eagle Statues, Coca-Cola memorabilia and anything that included Uncle Scrooge and Tazmanian Devil. Dean also built his home in 11 months while working 12 hour shifts at GE.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn K. Wildeson of Huntertown; brother, Dale (Tillie) Wildeson of Butler; sister, Darlene Relyea of Auburn; sister-in-law, Rhonda (Roger) Evans of Pleasant Lake; three brothers-in-law, Alvin (Deb) Casselman of Auburn, Gary (Karen) Casselman of Leo and Steve (June) Casselman of Angola; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother-in-law, Gerald Relyea.
A memorial service will take place at 3 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with Pastor James Pettit officiating. Visitation will be from 1 – 3 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2023, prior to the service at the funeral home.
