DONALD JAMES KOOMLER, 81, of Angola, died Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at Northern Lakes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Angola. He was an owner of Don & Dicks Flowers in Angola. Born April 29, 1934, he was a son of Allen Koomler and Clara (Druery) Koomler Kintz. He married Elizabeth Paxton on Feb. 26, 1955. He was a member of Angola United Methodist Church, Angola Rotary Club and Angola Jaycee's. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed babies and all sorts of animals, especially dogs. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. Surviving are his loving wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Koomler of Angola; son, Gregory (Nancy) Koomler of Hudson; daughter, Amy (Rod) Green of Portage, Mich.; daughter-in-law, Sharon (Jerry Grant) Koomler of East Chatham, N.Y.; his twin brother, Ronald Koomler of Anderson; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Daniel Koomler; one sister, Evelyn Davis; and brothers Gerald Koomler, Vernon Koomler, Norman Koomler, and an infant brother. Service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015, at Angola United Methodist Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Tim Terrell officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2015, at Weicht Funeral Home, Angola. Memorials may be made in Don's memory to the Angola United Methodist Church.
