DONALD RUBLE Obituary

DONALD "DON" B. RUBLE, 82, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Muncie, he was Vice President and General Auditor with Magna-vox / Phillips for 40 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, a 1946 graduate of North Side High School, a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and a graduate of Indiana University, with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed golfing, computers, I.U. Basketball and was an avid Bobby Knight fan. He had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia Ruble of Fort Wayne; sons, Daniel (Barb) Ruble of Minneapolis, Minn. and Cary (Ana) Ruble of Salt Lake City, Utah; daughters, Lori (Harry) Resor of New Haven, Valerie May of Fort Wayne and Melinda (Clay) Atchley of Lake Bluff, Ill.; brother, Richard (Rose) Ruble of Weatherford, Texas; sister, Nancy Bodie of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Chad, Nicole, Dustin, Ben, Dylan, Kate, Helen, Hannah, Lauren, Rodrigo and Ricardo; and great-grandchildren, Sydney, Calib and Sophie. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Danny May. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 St. Joe Road, with calling one hour prior. Fr. Mark Gurtner officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road with a vigil service at 3:30 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
