DONALD RAY VOLLMER

DONALD RAY VOLLMER, died peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, at home. Born Sept. 6, 1951, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Robert and Mary (Sprung-er) Voll-mer. He married Jenni (Davis) in 1993. He was previously general manager of Pine Valley Country Club, Bandido's, El Azteca, E.T Murphy's, the Pink Cadillac in Fort Wayne, Hot Shots, and was the chef and banquet coordinator at the 101 in Angola. Most recently he was a delivery coordinator at Menard's in Angola. He is survived by his wife, Jenni of Fremont; brother, Dr. Robert (Rosie) Vollmer of Huntertown; niece, Dr. Sonya (Chris) Shively; and nephews, Dr. Randy (Lissy) Vollmer, Chad Stillwell, Brian (Kris) Stillwell, and Tim Murray. He was also preceded in death by his sons, Ryan and Coby Vollmer; sister, Cindy Murray; and his black labs, Spooky and Buck. Memorial service is 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, with visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. at Weicht Funeral Home, Angola. No flowers please.
