I had the good fortune to have DonEtte for both English and speech class. Her love of literature and theater were obvious, and she was the kind of teacher who took a personal interest in her students. After I graduated and was in college, I dropped out for a time. It was a temporary situation, but she didn't know that, and she came to my place of employment to tell me I needed to get back to school. I'll always remember her with affection not only for that but for her humor and ability to make learning fun. She was both good to me and good for me.
