DONNA KAHN Obituary

DONNA M. KAHN, 51, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010, 10:20 p.m., at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. She was a home maker and loved animals. She volunteered at Perfect Paws Pet Rescue, Fort Wayne, where she fostered dogs until homes were found for them. Born Nov. 26, 1958, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Keith L. and Dorothy J. (Pope) Deeter; they survive in Indianapolis. On Sept. 4, 1976, she married her beloved husband of 33 years, James Kahn; he survives in Roanoke. Also surviving are a daughter, Christina (John) Ellis of Bluffton; two sons, Jason (Jill) Kahn of Fort Wayne, Michael Kahn of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two sisters, Deb (Jeff) Miller of Tipton and Evelyn (Safder) Safder of Indianapolis; and five grandchildren, Hannah and Braylon Kahn and Kaitlyn, Brooke, and Mason Ellis. She was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Deeter. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 9, 2010, at Roanoke Memorial Chapel of Deal-Rice Funeral Homes, with calling one hour prior to the service. Pastor Dave Arnold officiating. Calling also from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2010, at the funeral home. Burial will follow service in Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke.Preferred memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home c/oRoanoke Memorial Chapel, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke, IN 46783. i didn't know Donna to well, we chatted in the chat rooms, we conversed back and fourth, She will be missed by all, its sad that she departed this earth so soon in life,"May she rest in Peace"

As I have already said to a couple of you, Donna will be missed dearly. She was a good person with a kind heart. She loved her family and spoke of all of you often. I am glad that I had the chance to be a friend of such a wonderful person. Donna will always be in my heart. My deepest sympathy to all of you. Know that she is now no longer suffering and feels no pain.
