Doris Beber Obituary

Doris Jean Beber, 76, of Fort Wayne, passed away on October 5, 2025, Doris Jean Beber entered this life on April 14th 1949. She leapt into the hands of God on October 5th, 2025. She is survived by her husband Dave, and sons Brian Weidler (Kristy), Brent Weidler (Nitaya), daughters Kelli Beber and Angie De Boer. She is also survived by two younger sisters Joyce Black (Eric) and Lynda Coffey (Dave) and grandchildren Zachary, Chasity, Braxtyn, Adam, Eric, Korey, Cody and Joey. She was preceded in death by grandchild Courtney. Doris was also preceded in death by her parents Walter and Fernonda Coffey both Army veterans.

Doris was an "Army brat" born in Japan. She learned early on how to take on responsibility helping to care of her younger sisters. She would develop a sense of protection towards them that would carry on to her own children. Doris was a dedicated baseball/softball mom. She was a dedicated speed skater mom and granny. Doris also loved browsing at garage sales, the Goodwill and the Salvation Army stores. Doris also enjoyed camping in earlier years and enjoyed being with family members at a campground. Doris had a fondness and affection for antique furniture. She was a walking knowledge base for some items. She filled her house with these collectible pieces of furniture capable of transporting a person back to a simpler time. She thoroughly enjoyed talking to others who were engaged in the collection of antique furniture. Doris was a devoted wife and mother who wanted nothing but the best for her children, husband and extended family. No doubt that she could be direct, but the intentions of her heart were never in doubt. She will be missed. She is loved now and forever to those who were blessed enough to really know her.

Doris, God knows you and has called you by name. Rest now in the eternal bliss that God has prepared for you. Memorial Services will be Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025, at Messiah Lutheran Church 7211 Stellhorn Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46815. Visitation at 1pm, the service will begin at 2pm

Many fond memories of family get togethers from long ago. Sorry we haven´t been able to keep close in later years, but will remember the good times we had with all the Coffey members. May God comfort her loved ones.
