I met Ed at the package store on West State. He was always a kind man, and a very pleasant individual. Over the years our paths crossed quite a few times, rather it be on one of his visits to the car lot I worked at or the Dairy Queen on Lima. I am honored to have known Ed. May God wrap his loving arms around our brother and give him rest.

I met Ed about 14 years ago down at Coney Island. He would come in just about every night right before close to have a bite to eat or just to come in and talk with everyone who worked there. I enjoyed seeing him stop in for the many years that he did. He was always very kind and made me laugh. It is true, he never forgets a name. I ran into Ed at Meijer a few months ago after several years of not seeing him. He looked at me and said very pleasantly "Well hello there April, how are you how, have you been?" I miss his pleasant greeting. We all used to call him Uncle Ed, I will always call him Uncle Ed. He was like family to the Coney crew and friends of the Coney crew (I am a friend of the Coney crew). I am sad that I didn't know of this. That I wasn't there to say my goodbyes and pay my respects to his family. You will be missed Uncle Ed. Thank you for the many years of your company. I send my deepest sympathy to his family.

I worked with Mr. Dorian at Lincoln. I always called him Mr. Dorian because I felt he deserved great respect. We talked about the volunter work he did, his big-old car. Whenever I came into the mailroom, he always had a smile for me and a concern of how I was doing and so very helpful. He knew the mailroom so well and made sure you were helped. I ran into him again a couple of year ago at the Dairy Queen on Illinois Road. He was the same wonderfully pleasant/friendly person he always was. I called him Mr. Dorian and he said you can call me by my first name. I said I always felt you deserved so much respect for who you are and what you do. Your labors are over, you are with God in heaven. God bless you. Diana (Dawkins) Eller

I worked with Ed at Meijer. Ed always made it a point to stop and ask how you and your family were doing. I wish I would have slowed down and took the time to get to know Ed better. I will say a prayer for his family and ask God for comfort during this difficult time.
