Emmett was a dear, sweet man who loved when the choir would visit him in his home and sing some favorite hymns and tunes. He brought joy to the Congregation at Taylor Chapel UMC and will be missed by all.

We were so sorry to hear of Emmett's passing. He was such a kind man. When we first moved here he was the first person to welcome us to the neighborhood. It was always such a pleasure to talk to him. We will miss him dearly. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

I met Emmett in the Parenting-Grandparents Chat Room about 9 years ago. He was one of the first people I talked with in the room.

I have not been in the room for a few years but I will always remember him. He was a true gentleman with a great sense of humour and always pleasant to talk with.

I know he will be greatly missed by his family, as well as his online friends but he is now an Angel in Heaven with his beloved wife and they will be happy together again. GOD BLESS YOU DEAR EMMETT.

So sorry to hear about Emmett. What a great man. I met him on the chat about 10 years ago and even if I didn't come in very often he would always remember me. He used to pass by my house in Michigan on his way to his daughter's at Sanford, now I wish we had set a time and he could have stopped to visit. I will miss him. God Bless Emmett and his family.

I had the honor and pleasure of meeting Emmett in person just the one time.Colleen and I drove over to meet him from South bend ,and it was a wonderful experience. We had a great time with him.He was a lovely man, and had a zest for life that I hope I have at his age.I regret never taking the time to repeat my visit ...I thought about it many times.Anyway meeting him was a delight ,and I will always remember with a smile...the many times we joked about him helping me out with the "Ladies" I am sure he is rejoined with his wife of many years ,and for that I am grateful. Here's to you Emmett....God's speed...Always,Weaver

Dearest family and friends of Emmet,

I never got to know Emmett but heard so much good and precious things about him from Gwennie and Pinkie. (The two of them dearest of friends of mine )

Our Lord will walk beside you dear ones through these days of sorrow, just as through the years He has walked with you in joy. May you find strength, comfort, and peace in His love

My Prayers are with you,

Love in Christ,

Doede

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. John 14:18

We met Emmett several years ago and he was so much fun! I used to tease him and tell him that he drove like Jeff Gordon. He didn't exactly drive like Jeff Gordon - I think Emmett drove a little faster. (He is smiling right now as he knows I have written this.) It was delightful to have him visit with us in West Virginia. During one of his visits, I made Emmett a web page. He was so proud of his family and he was one of the few American heroes I have known. Emmett loved his country. His service in the USAF was one of bravery and courage.

With sincere sympathy,

Pinkie

Gentleman is a word that is disappearing from our experience and language. Emmett was one of the last few I have been honored to meet. He was a gentleman to the center and a true kind man..

This is our loss, he is out of pain now and in better hands. God bless and thank him for us all.

To Our Dear Angel Emmett...As you passed through Heaven's Gates, I'm positive, your "WINGS" were all ready and waiting for you... A very Kind and Gentle Man Emmett was for sure, and it was such an Honor and Great Pleasure to have met him online in the Parenting-Grandparents Room, and also our little instant messenger chats...I also never had the pleasure of one of his infamous hugs, and meeting him in person, but one day that will come...May you Rest in Eternal Peace my Friend, and may your family find comfort in knowing how loved you were by so many people...

With much Love and Sympathy

I like so many others met Emmett in a chatroom online, the place we all call home. Emmett was more than a friend to me as I met Emmett shortly before the death of my dear father and Emmett always did remind me of my own dad....he was a wonderful man, a bit lonely, a gentle soul that I wish I could have had the honor to meet in person. May God bless you dear Emmett. You are at home now with your lovely wife. Till we meet again. XOXOXOXOXOX
