Florence Edith Weitzman

1925 - 2024

Florence Edith Weitzman, 98, of Fort Wayne, IN, was called by Jesus on January 5, 2024, and he reached down and took her hand and walked her into heaven to be with her beloved parents and husband. She was born May 7, 1925 in Fort Wayne, IN, the daughter of Douglas and Edith Chapman. Florence volunteered at St. Joseph Hospital gift shop for over 20 years and had worked at Fort Wayne Community Schools in the cafeteria. She attended Harvester Avenue Missionary Church. Florence is survived by her children, Kathy (Marc) Sandkuhler of Fort Wayne, IN; Becky (Jeffrey) Bauermeister of Fort Wayne, IN; Jeffrey (Donita) Weitzman of Churubusco, IN; 6 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert A. Weitzman, February 21, 2009. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday January 13, 2024, at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home 4017 Maplecrest Road Fort Wayne, IN with visitation one hour prior. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
