Hugh Ware Obituary

HUGH H. WARE, 81, of Marion, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, 12:30 a.m., in Miller's Merry Manor, Marion. Born June 10, 1927, in Huntington, he was the son of the late Albert and Martha (Hartman) Ware. He was a 1945 graduate of Bippus High School, Bippus, Ind. He served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1947 in the European Theatre in Frankfort Germany. He married L. Joan Houser on July 10, 1948; she survives in Marion. He worked at International Harvester, Fort Wayne and General Motors, Marion. He retired in 1986 after 30 years of service. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing traveling and watching Gaither videos. Also surviving are daughters, Sherry Fosnough of Decatur, Bonita Ware of Delaware, Ohio and Georgia Ware of Marion; one son, Reverend Dr. Steven Ware (Becki) of New York City; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Orren Ware (Delores) of Columbia City and Wayne Ware (Eva Dean) of Fort Wayne; and one sister, Laura Burtrum of Springfield, Mo. Service is 11 a.m. Friday at St. James Lutheran Church, with Pastor Mark Carlson and the Reverend Dr. Steven Ware officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion. Burial, with full military rites, in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County Memorials to St. James Lutheran Church, 1206 N. Miller Ave., Marion, IN 46952.
