JACK W. FLANINGAN, 75, passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at Parkview Hospital - Randallia. Born Sept. 14, 1945, in Lebanon, Ind., he was a son of the late Julian Samuel and Martha Jane Flanin gan. Jack graduated from Lebanon High School in 1963, where he was the Drum Major and percussionist with the band. He was an avid model train collector, enjoyed history, and military planes. Jack was a HAM and CB radio operator starting as a young man, and enjoyed anything to do with electronics. He was the Sound Engineer for over 20 years for the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and WBCL Radio Station. Jack was an Engineer and retired from Raytheon in 2014 after 46 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Becky D. (Timma-Stair) Flaningan; children, Julie (Shane Benson) Flaningan, Kim (Erich) Kelley and Joel (Heather) Flaningan, all of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; and sister, Jane (Rich) Hersha of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Flaningan, in 2005. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020, at Hockemeyer Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. To Jack's family and to Jane, I want to add my condolences. I just learned of Jack's passing today. Jack and I were close friends in Lebanon, IN doing our CB stuff. I lost track of Jack in Oct 1963 when I entered the USAF. Fond memories of great times. I was a classmate of Jane at Lebanon 7-12 and enjoyed her successes. I feel like I just lost a close buddy today, May 12, 2022.

The LHS class of 1964 just recently found out about Jacks passing. We would like to offer our condolences and blessings to his entire family. He will forever be remembered as our drum major and a very kind person.

We were so sorry to read about Jack's passing this morning. There are too many memories and stories to post, but we both loved working with him at Magnavox and also moonlighting with him for the Phil Patriotic Pops and other performances. He sure knew his stuff! He was our good friend and such a great guy. I'm sorry, Becky, Julie, Kim, Joel and Jane and all the rest of the family he loved so much.

We are so sorry for your loss. For over 20 years Jack was our helper in our musical ministry He designed, built and maintained our sound system, sold us new equipment when we needed it and was always ready to come for an emergency repair Blessings to each one of you in this season .
