To everyone that has signed this book thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers. My dad was such an amazing man. Until this day I wasn't ready to read this page and I am not sure that i am ready at this point also. There is so much that I would love to say about my daddy but there just isn't enough time or space to write it all down. Some of the special times that I had with my dad and kids at the very end is that my dad would come and pick us up and 9 AM every Friday and take us to garage sales and then to eat at Bandidos. If we could have only one that one more time. Thank you for your fond memories of my dad. I am glad that he touched each and everyone one of you in a special way!

To Tracy:
You don't know me but I knew your dad. We had chatted on line for some time. I live in Kalamazoo and of course I am a K_wings fan. About 4 years ago your dad came to Kazoo and took me on a date. What a humorous side he had. I remember the resturant we went to we had a young waiter and he told the waiter that in about 10 minutes a limo was going to pull up outside and that Colin Powell would be joining us for dinner. That he should bring him to our table and not make a fuss. The poor kid didn't know what to say and Jim said it with a straight face. We have chatted over the years and I knew he wasn't doing too good. I am sorry I didn't know he had passed away until today. I remember chatting with him on the computer and he would have his web cam on. I will miss those talks. He spoke of you fondly.

Jim will be remembered as a member of the Indiana Umpires' Association. We enjoyed working with him and also the friendship we developed along the way.
Our prayers are with his family.

In the years I worked at Speedway Cafe, I frequently waited on Jim and his family. After I learned to tell when he was joking (which was most of the time), it was always a treat to see him and hassle him in return. I also sat a few rows in front of him at Komet Hockey. His unique sense of humor and hockey commentary will be truly missed!

Jim was one of my favorite people. We had a business relationship but seldom talked about business, instead we ate Chinese food and we played a lot of jokes on one another. I am glad I have saved all of his Christmas gift "rant" letters. We will all truly miss him and his quirky sense of humor.

To the entire Fell family, my deepest sympathy for the loss of Jim.
Jim and I played stat-o-matic fantasy hockey for many years. We fast became long distance buddies that would discuss hockey and go to hockey games in Fort Wayne and Chicago. The annual fantasy hockey draft at my condo in Chicago was the biggest blast I and many others had all year.
I somehow know Jim will continue to watch his beloved Fort Wayne Komets every game as he did in person for so many years.
Jim's sense of humor made everyone laugh out loud.
Peace to you Jim! You were a great buddy and you will never be forgotten in my heart.

I looked forward to watching a K's game with you this upcoming season, maybe even take in the action at the Twin 6 in Kendalville. You were one of the two guys who could get away with calling me "Bobby".
