JAMES C. SPIETH, 58, passed away Monday, June 14, 2010, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he worked for Avery Dennison for 20 years, retiring in 2010. He attended Heritage High School and was a member of St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the American Legion, Monroeville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved his time at the lake with family and friends. Surviving are sons, Adam (Mary Savarese) Spieth of Indianapolis and Zack (Lindsay) Spieth of Leo; stepdaughter, Abigail (Sean) Kennedy of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; brother, Robert Spieth of Hoagland; and sisters, Christine (Patrick) Zimmerly of Barnhart, Mo. and Pamela (Rex) Gerber of Monroeville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cletus and Angela Spieth. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church Hessen Cassel, 11337 Old US 27 South, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Fr. Thomas Lombardi officiating. We are so very sorry for your loss. We always enjoyed seeing Jim at the lake. He was such a good-hearted person, always willing to help or give something to someone.

Jim was a fantastic person. Always with a smile and a friendly word. I don't know anyone that loved being at the lake more than him. We will miss him greatly.
