James V. Walcutt

James V. Walcutt, 86, of Churubusco, IN, passed away on October 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 24, 1939 in Fort Wayne. He graduated from Angola High School in 1958 and then served his country in the U.S. Navy. Jim retired from International Harvester and moved to Churubusco. He enjoyed 20 years performing in many local bands. Surviving are his beloved wife of 66 years, Carole, his son Jeff (Elizabeth), and daughter Julie (Bill) Raspiller. Siblings include brother Jerry (Helene), sisters Judy (Raymond), and Melanie Pardue. Grandchildren Marissa (Cory) Moneyheffer, Jenna (Josh) Kennedy, Hannah (Maverick) Murray, Carson Raspiller and Rigby Larrabee-Walcutt. Great-grandchildren Meadow, Fern and Wilder Moneyheffer and August Kennedy. Brother-in-law Robert (Carol) Tolson and sister-in-law Anne (John) Allison, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

James was preceded in death by his brother Jack Walcutt and sister Sue Alford, and parents James and Mary Ella Walcutt.
