JASON A. TRAIL

JASON A. TRAIL, SR., 39, of Frankfort, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis, as a result of injuries sustained in a fire in the family residence earlier on Monday. He was born in Fort Wayne, June 10, 1978, a son of Deborah L. Whitman Cook. Jason married Vanessa M. Strebinger in Lafayette, Sept. 3, 2011, and she survives. He was employed as a factory tech at NKT in Frankfort. Jason loved the country life. He was a life-long Chicago Cubs and Chicago Blackhawks fan. Surviving are his wife, Vanessa; three daughters, Carolina, Ava and Payton; six sons, Leroy, Kolby, Jason, Jr., Michael, Kolton and Keaton; his mother, Debbie Cook of Fort Wayne; a brother, Brad Cook of Muncie; two sisters, Angie Kern of Fort Wayne and Nikki Cook of Muncie; and a granddaughter, Mar-Queena. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ernest C. and Thelma J. Whitman. Service is 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette, with memorial visitation beginning at 11 a.m. until the service at 1p.m. Memories and condolences may be left at www.hahngroeberfuneralhome.com.
