JILL E. SLATER, 52, of LaGrange, Ind., died Sunday, March 26, 2023. Born Aug. 17, 1970, Jill was the daughter of the late Ned and Rita (Getty) Slater. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, the Jesters Theatre Group at the University of St. Francis, Special Olympics, Project Promise, the Social Club at the ARC of LaGrange County, the All-Stars at the First Church of God and enjoyed writing poems. Jill cherished her family and friends, and especially enjoyed Lake Witmer, fishing, swimming and paddle boating. Survivors include her siblings, Ed (Stephen Brown) Slater, Mike (Barb) Slater, Ann (Matthew) Warner, Mary (Jeff) Harrington, Jeff (Becky) Slater, David (Julie) Slater, and Janet (Nick) Mullins; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant sister, Kathleen Slater. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2023, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., with visitation from noon to 2 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
