Joan Miner Obituary

JOAN MINER, 72, of Warsaw, formerly of Fort Wayne and Mentone, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, 8 p.m., at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. Born Jan. 9, 1932, in Syracuse, she was the daughter of Ben Emerson and Opal Irene (Bassett) Miller. She was a graduate of Warsaw High School. She was a homemaker and was a member of Mentone Methodist Church. She was also a member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority, since 1952 and was affiliated with the Beta Epsilon Chapter, Mentone, Delta Gamma Chapter, Fort Wayne and Theta Sigma, North Webster. Survivors include daughters, Christine M. Leis of Lake Bluff, Ill. and Sally (David) Reuter of South Whitley; sons, Brett E. (Marie) Miner of Broomfield, Colo. and M. Tod (Cindy) Miner of Fort Scott, Kan.; five grandsons, Jacob (Wendy) Miner of Colorado, Benjamin C. Reuter and Zechariah P. Reuter, both of South Whitley, John Gross and Adam (Nikki) Gross, both of Kansas; and one sister, Bonnie I. Hibben of New Haven. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. Pastor John Damon officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel. Burial at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Memorials to Medication Assistance, 1934 E. Center St., Warsaw, IN 46580.
