JOAN R. WILDER

1936 - 2021

JOAN R. WILDER, 84, of Venice, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at her home. Born Sept. 1, 1936, in Mansfield, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Harry Bunton and Roberta Freel- Bunton. Joan retired from General Electric after 34 years. She was an avid gardener who paid special attention to her roses. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Venice where her and her late husband Neil enjoyed volunteering for various events including feeding those in need. She will be remembered as a kind and loving mother, sister, grandmother and great- grandmother. Survivors include her daughter, Tina LeSure; son, Stanley (Debbie) Wilder; sister, Deanna Rieter; grandchildren, David, Josh, Roberta, Nettie, and Brad; 10 great- grandchildren, and one great-great- grandchild as well as Eric and Phil Waltenburg. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Neil Waltenburg; son, Robert "Mark" Wilder; sister, Rose Mary Bunton; brother, Eddie Bunton; and granddaughter, Christy Minnick. Visitation is from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Farley Funeral Home, 265 S. Nokomis Ave., Venice. A memorial service to be announced at a later date.
