John Bellio Obituary

John Bellio, 63, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully at home on August 16, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones, following a year-long battle with cancer. John was a devoted son, father, husband, grandfather, and friend. He was a respected leader in the real estate community and a man who believed deeply in building not only businesses, but also relationships that would last a lifetime. John began his real estate career in the 1980s at Roth Wehrly Realtors and went on to co-found Coldwell Banker Roth Wehrly Graber, guiding it to become one of Indiana's leading brokerages. He spent over three decades mentoring countless Realtors, setting new standards of professionalism, and leaving a lasting impact on Fort Wayne's real estate community. A tireless advocate, volunteer and director in local and state associations, John was admired for his vision, communication, and problem-solving skills - shaping many of the region's current and future leaders. He was a past president and is inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Upstate Alliance of Realtors. His passion for the industry was matched only by his belief in keeping it fun and rooted in camaraderie. John was an avid golfer and member of Pine Valley Country Club, where he developed lifelong friendships. A graduate of Snider High School, he went on to redshirt for the soccer team at Indiana University and then play locally at Saint Francis. He spent decades as a mentor and volunteer soccer coach at every level and gave his time generously to many organizations. In 2019, John accomplished a lifelong dream of establishing a semi-professional soccer team, the Fort Wayne Football Club. John had a true zest for life and lived each moment to the fullest. Those who knew John will remember his unwavering dedication, his mentorship and his sense of humor. His influence will live on in the thousands of lives and careers he touched, the communities he strengthened, and the people he so dearly loved. John is survived by his father, George; wife, Terri; his daughters Erica (Colton LaRue) and Jennifer (Neil Borgman); and his grandchildren Beckett, Lyla, and Carter. He was preceded in death by his mother, Trinka and beloved dog OllieBoy.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 3-8:00pm Friday, August 22, 2025, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home-Cedar Canyons, 1986 W. Cedar Canyons Rd., Huntertown, IN 46748.
