John Paul Coyer

John Paul Coyer, 83, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on February 24, 2026, He was born on September 22, 1942, in Kentucky, son to the late Jennings and Emma (Stevens) Coyer. John was a Vietnam U. S. Army Veteran, having received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his service to the country. He retired from International Harvester. Surviving are his daughters, Bobbie (Steve) Kennedy and Jonelle (Jon) Furnish; grandchildren, Chase (Melissa) Lucarelli, Drake Lucarelli, Kobe Lucarelli, Dawson (Chloe) Furnish, and Reese Furnish; great-grandson, Riggs Furnish; partner-in-life, Mary "Lynn" Swygart; step-son, Mike (Lynn) Swygart; step-grandchildren, Adam Swygart, A. J. (Desiree) Swygart, Zach Swygart, and Treaver Swygart; step-great-grandchildren, Caprice Swygart, Sanabell Swygart, and Ridge Swygart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Bud Swygart. Visitation will take place at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819, on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, with a funeral service to follow at 4:00 pm.
