JONATHAN LAWLER Obituary

JONATHAN M. LAWLER, ended his life Wednesday, July 27, 2022. He was born on Aug. 17, 1999 to Michael and Melissa Lawler, who survive. He had a short life that was well lived. Jonathan had a passion for learning and for sharing that knowledge. He enjoyed history, science and learning 'Fun Facts" about almost everything and places he experienced. He also enjoyed his daily fountain drink Coke and trying out new restaurants. Jonathan earned his Eagle Scout rank and served as an officer in the scouting organization Order of the Arrow. He won leadership awards while serving. After graduating from Northrop High School, he attended Purdue University in Lafayette, Ind. to study Nuclear Engineering. He left before his senior year and started working for Fort Wayne Metals last fall. He enjoyed working there and learning all about how the products were made. Jonathan was also an animal lover and leaves behind his family cats. Jonathan is survived by his parents, and sister, Elizabeth (Tanner) Elliott; also grandmothers, Wanda Dray and Diana Veritas; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Stevan Dray, Dan Lawler, and Dennis Kesterson; and his aunt, Teresa Lehman. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Anthony Wayne Area Council, in his honor.
