JUNIOR WILCOX Obituary

JUNIOR EDWIN WILCOX, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at his residence. He was born on Dec. 11, 1930, in Hillsdale, Mich. He worked as a machinist for Schafer Gear Works, and was a ham radio operator KB9UTN. Junior was also a member of the Eagles Post 3512. He is survived by his daughters, Susan Smith, Diana Schenk of Kentucky and Peggy Wilcox; sons, Jeff (Kathy) Wilcox and Jonathan (Mary) Wilcox of Butler, Ind.; sister, Doris Boetz of Ohio; brother, Robert Wilcox; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren; as well as many friends and family. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 60 years, Barbara Wilcox; and parents, Fred Wilcox and Lona Playford. Funeral service is 4 p.m. Wednesday, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., with calling from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorials to Parkview Health Hospice. www.sloan andsonsfuneralhome.com
