KENNETH MEYER

KENNETH MEYER, 75, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Russel and Helen (Oehler) Meyer. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven. He served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves, was a member of Navy Club Ship 245, and Howard Bandelier V.F.W. 2457. A lifelong farmer and trucking company owner who enjoyed horse racing. He was a member of the Indiana Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association. He also enjoyed rooting for I.U. basketball, but especially loved watching and supporting all his grandchildren's activities. "Ken was the life of the party that never knew a stranger." He is survived by his wife, Julie Meyer; children, Jon (Carolyn) Meyer of New Haven, Jennifer (Gregory) Anderson of Monroeville, Julie (Stephen) Rekeweg of New Haven, and Jillian (Patrick) O'Sullivan of Oak Forest, Ill.; siblings, Daniel Meyer of Hoagland, Thomas (Debra) Meyer of New Haven, Nancy (Rick) Losher of New Haven, and Penny Meyer of New Haven; and grandchildren, Lauren Meyer, Luke Meyer, Shelby Anderson, Gavin Rekeweg, Alyssa Anderson, Conor O'Sullivan, and Allison O'Sullivan. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2022, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green St., New Haven, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the church.
