LEONA FAULKNER Obituary

LEONA B. FAULKNER, 92, of Marion, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012. Born Dec. 2, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Iva (Jones) Mayer. A 1938 graduate of Jefferson Township High School, she was a U.S. Army World War II veteran; retired from Orchard Ridge Country Club, Fort Wayne; and attended St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church. Surviving are children, Donna J. (Phillip) Rust, John Robert (Linda), and Cheryl A. (Mark) Wells; sister, Lila Ruth West; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Martha P. Graczyk and Mary M. Ianucilli. Funeral is 10 a.m. Thursday at Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington St., Marion, where visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Burial in Marion National Cemetery. Memorials to Marion Grant County Humane Society, c/o Ewer and Moritz, 517 S. Washington St. Marion, IN 46953. http://www.owenweilert duncan.com/
