LEONA WHITSON Obituary

LEONA F. WHITSON, 79, of Fort Wayne, departed this life on Monday, June 25, 2012. She was born on Sept. 27, 1932, in Middletown, Ohio. Surviving are her sons, Tyrone Alexander, Ronald (Lawan da) Whitson and William Whitson Jr.; daughter, Carol Whitson; brother, Freddie (Dorothy) Conley; sisters, Alice Brandon and Shirley (Robert) Curtis; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Whitson Sr.; and daughter, Darlene Freeman. Funeral service is noon Monday at Light House Deliverance Cathedral, with visitation one hour prior. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Carmichael Funeral Service.
