MARGARET L. HUFFMAN, 87, of Hoagland, Ind., died on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, 10:22 p.m., at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born June 8, 1929, in Decatur, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Daniel D. Rhoades and Dora G. (Bailey) Rhoades. She married Bill L. Huffman on Feb. 22, 1947; he preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 2004. She retired from Luginbill Wire Die and had also worked at Montgomery Ward for 14 years. She loved doing puzzles, crocheting, gardening, and flowers. She was very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her pumpkin pies. Surviving aare her daughters, Gloria Lesperance of Kathleen, Ga., Marcia (James) Kaehr of Lagro, Ind., Cheryl (Bryan) Huffman of Spencerville, Ind., and Carol Gordon of Syracuse, Ind.; son, William (Kayleen) Huffman of Fort Wayne; sister, Ethel Caudle of Fort Wayne; brothers, Delbert Rhoades and Daniel (Sandy) Rhoades of LaOtto, Ind.; sister, Shirley (Donald) Williams of Churubusco, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Allison Browand; a brother, Charles David Rhoades; and a sister, Mary Harvey. Service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur. Pastor David Stecker officiating. Visitation is from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2016, at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Clint Kaehr; Kyle Krick; Corbin Huffman; Kenton Frecker; John Browand; and Chad Gordon. Burial in Decatur Cemetery. Preferred memorials to donor's choice.
