Marilyn Stookey Obituary

MARILYN L. STOOKEY, 74, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. Born in Huntington, she was the daughter of Guy and Ruth Stump. She was a homemaker and a devoted wife, loving mother and caring grandmother and was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Don E. Stookey of Fort Wayne; daughters, Catherine (David) Fruchey, Judy Hildenbrand, Peggy Stookey and Dawn (Jay) Wilhelm, all of Fort Wayne; and grandchildren, Shannon and Michael Berning, Chad and Ashley Hildenbrand, Meghan and Benjamin Wilhelm. She was preceded in death by son, Michael, in 1962. Service is 2 p.m. Saturday at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home or American Lung Association.
