Marlene was a true inspiration. We formed a special bond because of the love we shared for animals. I knew the moment we first met that she was one special woman. I will always remember her fondly, and will truly miss our talks. Rest in peace sweet Angel for you have earned your wings many times over.

I remember Marlene from grade school and up in Bryan, Ohio. She was always a sweet girl I'm not surprised she became a loving caring and cheerful woman. Twenty years ago our Class of 1971 printed a roster of fellow students and Marlene said she enjoyed bird watching. I do too so I called her up and ask about hummingbirds. She shared her formula for their sugar water. I'm glad we connected on Facebook to see a glimpse of the lovely life she made. When that first little hummer comes around in the spring I'll be remembering. I'm sorry for everyone's loss-but what a wonderful spirit that lives on. God be with you all.

Sorry, Ted and children, to learn of Marlene's passing. I have known Marlene since grade school and graduated with her in 1971 and we have been playing Words With Friends on the internet for quite a long time. I will always remember Marlene's smile, her humor and what a good friend she ways to everyone that crossed her path. Marlene was an amazing diver with the swim team and I remember going to Moore Pool to watch her in action!! It seems that everything she did she did with her whole heart. I am so thankful that Marlene and Ted were able to attend our last class reunion and share memories with her Bryan High School friends. Please know that you are all in my prayers during this most difficult time. Love and Peace to you all.

At our 45 th class reunion Marlene and I had the opportunity to connect . She looked very much like she did in high school! I also met her loving husband who was by her side. She told me about her health issues as she was in a wheelchair. I could tell by her positive attitude that she was living each day to the max. That was Marlene's recipe for a great life to be kind, smile and laugh...which she did as well as make each moment count especially with the ones she loved. May God give all her family comfort and peace during this time.

I am so thankful to have known Marlene. She was like a second mom growing up. She was someone I knew would always be there for me. I remember her picking me up from school when I was really sick and her taking care of me. She made me smile. I always loved to sit and talk with her. She will be greatly missed.
